Privacy Policy
This policy describes the public PixelPrep Tools website, local image processing, support, and Google consent services. Advertising is not active pending approval and consent testing. The tools are free.
Operator and privacy contact
PixelPrep Tools is an owner-operated business based in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The owner is responsible for privacy questions. Contact availability is shown on About & support.
Your images
Image contents, filenames, and crop settings are processed in your browser, not uploaded by the conversion tool. We do not use your photos for advertising or AI training. Working images are held in page memory; refreshing or closing the page ends that session. Originals and downloads remain on your device until you delete them. Downloads may retain a filename derived from the original. Re-encoding removes common camera metadata, not information visible in the image.
Free allowance
We store a preparation count, a two-hour reset timestamp, and random reservation identifiers in this browser’s local storage to track the free allowance. This record contains no photos, filenames, or account identity and is not sent by the tool to an advertising service. Refreshing keeps the allowance; expired records are ignored and replaced on the next preparation. You can remove the record through your browser’s site-data settings. Storage must be available for free preparation. This is a browser-local allowance, not an account-wide limit.
Website and support data
Our hosting and delivery providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, may process IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. The host also provides aggregate traffic statistics to the operator. This is separate from local image processing. Support emails pass through Namecheap forwarding and Google Gmail; the owner receives your address, message, and any attachments to respond. Do not email identity documents, card details, or sensitive photos.
Retention and safeguards
Support information is used to respond and resolve issues, not to build advertising profiles. It should be retained only as long as necessary for those purposes or legal obligations. Hosting and email providers apply their own retention and security practices; no unverified deletion period is promised for provider logs. Providers may process data outside Canada, where local authorities may have lawful access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Google consent and advertising
We load Google’s AdSense tag to connect the Google-certified consent message published for this site. Google receives connection information such as your IP address, browser information, and the site address, and may store consent records. Automatic ad placement and ad experiments are switched off pending approval and completion of consent testing; there are no active ad units in the application. No separate Google Analytics tag is installed.
If advertising is enabled, Google and participating vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and identifiers to serve, secure, and measure ads. Advertising cookies may personalize ads using prior visits to this and other sites. Google’s applicable consent message lists purposes and vendors and offers consent, refusal, and management choices. Our conversion code does not send image contents or filenames to Google to select advertisements.
Read how Google uses partner-site information. Manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center, or participating vendors through YourAdChoices. These external settings do not replace the on-site controls. Open Cookies & privacy controls from the footer to change your Google privacy choices.
Your choices
Refusing advertising consent does not disable uploading, cropping, preparing, or downloading images. See Cookies & privacy controls for storage choices. You may ask the owner about access, correction, deletion, or privacy complaints through the support email listed on the About & support page. Rights and exceptions depend on your location. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children and changes
The service is not directed to children under 13 or below the applicable age of digital consent. We do not knowingly collect children’s photos on our servers. Contact the owner if a child has sent personal information to support. Policy changes will be dated here before new advertising practices begin.
